about
I wanted to write a song about the violence I see in our world, whether it is at a hardcore show or across the
planet in Iraq. I think violence is unacceptable and I have to ask the question – why? There has to be a
better way of handling things than dropping bombs or punching a kid because he doesn’t mosh like you. I
make the choice every day not to live like that.
lyrics
The war rages on
It’s all irrelevant
It makes no sense to me
Angry kids with bad attitudes
Trying to run from the scared boy inside
Throw another fist, you’re so transparent
You turned this place of peace into a battle zone
The war at home has landed in my back yard
But you can overcome it, you can overcome it
So much potential hidden
You can overcome
Take my hand, we’re moving forward
